Hammmmmm Lets Think....

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED?

About a hundred years ago, a man looked at the morning newspaper and to his surprise and horror, read his name in the obituary column. The news papers had reported the death of the wrong person by mistake. His first response was shock. Am I here or there? When he regained his composure, his second thought was to find out what people had said about him. The obituary read, "Dynamite King Dies." And also "He was the merchant of death." This man was the inventor of dynamite and when he read the words "merchant of death," he asked himself a question, "Is this how I am going to be remembered?" He got in touch with his feelings and decided that this was not the way he wanted to be remembered. From that day on, he started working toward peace. His name was Alfred Nobel and he is remembered today by the great Nobel Prize.

Just as Alfred Nobel got in touch with his feelings and redefined his values, we should step back and do the same.

What is your legacy?

How would you like to be remembered?

Will you be spoken well of?

Will you be remembered with love and respect?

Will you be missed?

THIS Is HOW GANDHI JI DEFINED CUSTOMER AT HIS TIME......

"A Customer is the most important visitor on our premises.
He is not dependent on us.
We are dependent on him.
He is not an interruption on our work.
He is the purpose of it.
He is not an outsider on our business.
He is a part of it.
We are not doing him a favour by serving him.
He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so."

Extract Job hoppers....

1. I believe that Job Hoppers should not be put on Important Projects neither be given the responsibility to handle ‘strategic accounts’. It is too risky to put job hopper working on an important assignment.
2. If someone is not loyal to the company where he draws his salary, how can he be loyal to his customers? If an applicant worked for less than a year at his last 3 jobs, why should I think he will stay at my company any longer?
Why I STILL Don’t Like Job Hoppers
1) The cost spent on an employee is considerably higher in the first year then in subsequent years. If the employee leaves in the first year, we have not recouped our investment.
2) It doesn’t matter how great an employee is, even the best ones don’t start truly contributing until they have been with the company for at least 8 -10 months. For most employees it usually takes 12 -18 months.
3) The best employees become heavily involved with important projects and/or have strong client relationships. When they leave it creates a huge crisis. It’s too risky to have a job hopper working on anything important.
4) Job hoppers are generally weak of character. They have little sense of responsibility and commitment. They are more focused on themselves than on the people and things around them. They jump ship at the smallest irritation or when the company across the street offers them a few extra pennies. The best employees are responsible by nature. They are more outwardly focused. They care about the company, their co-workers and clients. A responsible-minded employee will contribute at least 150% more in productivity than an employee who cares only about himself.

A man’s dreams are an index to his greatness.

I always dreamed to be at the Top of The World and that’s too by keeping my Ethics and my Culture in my mind. But when ever I opened my eyes, I saw a world that made me realize that dreams can’t be reality. Either be on top or work according to your ethics.
In the Dust of Dreams
In the Coerce of Creations
In the Larks of Life
I forgot MYSELF
I forgot my Dreams.
But things changed. I got placed in APAC Sourcing solution. I met a person who was having a same dream and the best part is he is actually converting them into reality. He had given me a platform, where I can dream again and that’s too with open eyes. Thanks to that great person.

My Dreams Went Down The Drain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just freshly out of college I expected, I dreamt of my office life, but all my dreams went down the drain as I joined my company.

If you are reading this, you must be thinking that my office is horrible, with lots of hostile people and a nightmarish boss….. but.. but.. and but this was exactly what I expected my office to be.

Confused??? Well……….. Let me explain….

I imagined, fuelled by inputs from my friends and family members that any office is a battle field, where big fish eats the small one. I expected to get bullied, or become the victim of office politics. But on contrary I found my office to be just like another home, where my seniors guide me like any elder person of a family will guide the younger one and where we have a M.D. who is a mentor and a father figure rather than a taskmaster.

So you see MY DREAMS WENT DOWN THE DRAIN!!!!!!!!!!
